Sign your initials by your name rather than including a signature at the end of the memo as you would in a letter. Just sign and date the signature, to officially “seal the deal” on the memo, and let the reader know who, exactly, the memo is coming from. The last portion of the memo can include a signature from the sender at the bottom, but it doesn’t have to. However, sometimes managers are wise to include their initials next to their name in the header. In practice, memos don’t include a signature. Memos, however, are internal and usually only seen by a company’s employees.
